BUBBLES

The Idea for using tights as a material goes back to my Grandmother Maria Kleinbylen. Over years she collected pairs of tights in her house with nobody knowing. When our familiy had to clear her house we found cabinets full of them. For nearly one year they were hanging in my studio till I found a way to use them as a three dimensional development of PUNKT PUNKT PUNKT. The tights are filled with plastic waste and fabrics of various colours, thus the sculptures are soft and flexible. The work UMMI is dedicated to my Granny.
