PUNKT PUNKT PUNKT = DOT DOT DOT
In a former horse stable in Schermbeck NRW 2015 I was trying to dissolve the given space structure through a painting of black dot-network. 200 square meters of walls, ceiling, pillars and even the floor were covered in paint, outlining the actual surface. By creating a new layer I was exploring how it affects people discovering the space. The thesis was inspired by the autobiography of Yayoi Kusama, where she described how as a child standing in flower field, the world dissolved slowly before her eyes. The only way to stop this process was to paint. Janina Trienekens Santamarina
