SCHWELLEN
WIND INSTALLATION
SCHWELLEN is a kinetic wind installation that makes air currents tangible. It transforms the arched vault of the castle bridge into a stage for wind. Janina Santamarina uses three windows to make the air flowing through the openings spatially visible, using assembled plastic bodies. These move constantly - depending on the wind strength, weather conditions and direction - inflating or shrinking. The historical path around the castle also offers a view from the outside into the interior of the windows.
